Ponderings from work...

So sitting around in the staff room, myself and a friend at work were discussing brain transplants and whether they might ever be possible. And if they ever did do a brain transplant, the crucial question: Who are you? Does the person who has the brain transplant go by the name of the body who received the brain, or the name of the person the brain used to belong to? Any thoughts?
On a side note, the nasty-looking green food at the start of the last post... that was supposed to be a spinach omelette. But I made the mistake of adding the spinach to the blender, and kept adding more spinach because, well why not? Ya, figured out why not...

The question I think can only be answered by the first person to get a brain transplant. Is it solely the brain that determines identity, or would that shift in it interacting with another body? If the new body had a vastly different metabolism, would that change the personality brought with the brain? I think it would be best to hybridize the two names of the people involved before the surgery.
