I have a problem. A minor problem in the grand scheme of things, but a problem none-the-less. In two days time I have a course at work, and the textbook... is 350 pages of looseleaf-sized spiral bound info. I'm on page 34.
And yet, I have, in an attempt to help myself fall asleep, become spellbound by another book. It entrances me and keeps me reading, from the pale glow of the night sky, to the sharp light of sunrise hitting my living room wall, I can't put it down! And I've only just begun it tonight. It doesn't help that I just finished two adrenaline-filled nights of non-stop work, and slept solid through the day yesterday. It doesn't help that I have a nasty cold... the kind of cold that fills your head with fluff and your sinuses with so much fluid you would think an unstoppable faucet lurked somewhere behind your nose. It doesn't help that when I went to lay down, I couldn't breathe through my nose, so I propped myself up with pillows, and it takes longer to fall asleep like that. And it doesn't help that my brain wants to sift through the fine details of the last two nights of work, where I barely had time to keep up with events, not mind you think through the details. And finally, it definitely doesn't help that I got hungry, at 4am, and am sitting and eating chocolate-chocolate brownie icecream, cause my throat's sore and I lack the energy for anything more creative that's also soothing.
I should try studying... that's always worked to put me to sleep before! But there's a book sweetly calling my name from the chair by the window!

I'm reading "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield... it's like a love story to the written word! Except it's not a love story. Yet. Just a fictional tale of a book lover writing a very interesting biography.
so can you tell us the title of the book, so we can join you in having to bear the sweet call of said tempting book?
