It is the time for sorrow, tears.
To weap, to mourn, the many years
Of war, of hate, of hardened pride
So many hurt, so many died.
Battlefields so full of glory,
Crying out a deeper story.
Tales of souls forever lost.
Wars were won, but at what cost?
Is there a peace that we have found,
After the bloody battleground?
Thirst for war is never sated,
Hate and anger demonstrated,
Around the world in genocides,
In brothers choosing different sides.
Mourn and cry and grieve with me,
And then get down on bended knee,
Pray for a deeper love in you,
Flowing out and in and through.
Honor now the sacrifice,
The battles and the loss of life,
By showing love to fellow man,
And spreading all the peace YOU can.
PS: I'm almost done the next leg of the journey... France. I'll post it in a couple of days.
